Mountain Valley Winery is a great place to spend some of your free time. We just could not resist taking advantage of the free wine tasting at one of area’s family owned wineries. The gentleman who gave the tour was very pleasant and knowledgeable; offering us insight into the techniques required to produce an award winning wine. The wine tasting bar allows you plenty of time to sample the different varieties from several national award winning wines. They were great at showing us all the different tastes of their wine and helped us choose the flavors we liked.
We purchased four bottles of wine to take home choosing the Merlot, a Riesling and a couple bottles of the Reserve. It turns out that the Winery is Tennessee's largest winery and is always open to the public at no charge. The Winery is open from 9 am to 6 pm year round and open later during the busy season Mountain Valley Winery
